Sunday was a religious holiday for us—National Dog Day. And although the festivities have technically ended, there’s still plenty of good puppy stuff to take in and let the holiday spirit linger a bit longer. For example, go ahead and enjoy this incredible video featuring 100 years of dogs.
Created by dog treat and pet CBD company Honest Paws, the two-minute spot below takes a look at various famous canines from the past century or so. Iconic dogs from film and television made the video including Lassie, Hooch, Rin Tin Tin, and Benji.
What’s more, there’s also some seriously good pet trivia laced throughout. For example, did you know that the dog who played Lassie was originally cast as Lassie’s stunt double because he outperformed the original pup?
There’s also a look at present-day dogs, including the viral sensation of Instagram dogs, with pets dressed to the nines in the hopes of nailing a perfect photo.
