The Ultimate Holiday Adoption Surprise

When college student and shelter volunteer Hallee Fuqua found out her favorite dog at her local animal rescue had been adopted, she was crushed. But what she didn’t know was it her own family who had adopted two-year-old Rambo.

According to people.com, Fugua parents surprised her earlier this month with the ultimate holiday gift greeting her on her front steps.

Apparently, Fugua had been asking her parents for a dog for years but got serious about one in particular once she started spending her time at the nearby Humane Society of Stillwater.

“Hallee kept sending us pictures from her and Rambo at the shelter,” Hallee’s father, Lance Fuqua, told the web site. “After a while my wife, Jessica, said ‘I know this sounds crazy, but I think Rambo belongs in our family.'”

Shelter employees and Fugua’s family planned the surprise, which went off without a hitch, for several weeks and Rambo has already adjusted to his new home.
