Yes, we’re excited that it’s summer, but much of the country has been experiencing serious heat waves of recent, including the Lone Star state. In Texas, temperatures reached triple digits throughout much of July, making not only humans hot AF, but our furry friends, too. One dog found the best way to beat the summer heat—a surprising one, at that—by dragging an outdoor sprinkler indoors, as reported by The Dogington Post.
Story goes that Texas resident Cara Wohr’s dog, Baloo, was clearly feeling a bit warm (after all, he does have a fur coat on!), and cleverly dragged his outdoor sprinkler indoors through his doggy door, naturally. Thankfully, Wohr had her smartphone on hand so she could record the whole incident and post the video to Facebook for all social media users to relish in.
Sidenote: Wohr also deftly pointed out she was grateful for her waterproof mascara because, of course, she inevitably got wet from Baloo’s clever trick.
Although dragging a sprinkler indoors may not be the neatest way to keep your dog cool at home, it certainly is a novel idea. Other options? Turning up the AC, giving your pup plenty of water, and running through sprinklers—outdoors only, though.
Check out Wohr’s Facebook post of Baloo below—it’s honestly almost too good to be true.
