Surf’s Up For Brandy The Pug

Brandy the pug is one talented pup. She recently competed in the Surf Dog Surf-a-thon at Dog Beach in Del Mar, California and blew the competition out of the water. Brandy took home third place in the medium dog category and helped support a good cause.

Brandy proudly displayed her medal from the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Every year for 12 years, this San Diego-based nonprofit has hosted a Surf-a-Thon to help raise money for animals in need.

This year, the Surf-a-Thon featured tons of different fun events. They held different surf events for different-sized dogs, of course. Back on land, the dogs got to strut their stuff in a canine costume contest. The event also featured sponsored booths for owners to get involved with different pet brands.

Brandy may not have taken home the top prize, but that will just motivate her to work harder for next year. In the meantime, she’s still practicing her surfing skills and enjoying some fun in the sun.
