Pups love three things; red, white, and bones! Even though our four legged friends are the most patriotic citizens since Uncle Sam, there are certain aspects of independence day celebrations that they don’t prefer to take part in, specifically fireworks.
Some dogs are desensitized to the loud noises of fireworks, but if your pup is like mine, you need to make sure to keep them close by this weekend. More pets run away on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Be smart and be safe with your best friend. Either have them on a leash with a close eye on them, or better yet, keep them indoors for the duration of the loud celebration.
