Post a Photo With Your Dog If You’re Online Dating—Here’s Why

You know how there’s a movie, Must Love Dogs? Well, I don’t know much about it, but what I did gather was having a dog equated to finding more dates. While I’m not sure if that was indeed the film’s premise, it turns out that dating while being a dog owner is a good look: one survey found that 73 percent of respondents were more likely to swipe right on a profile pic that includes a dog, and that 78 percent of people are more likely to go home with someone after a date if they say they also have a dog.

Conducted by WagWalking.com, the survey reached over 3500 respondents—all of whom are dog owners—to find out their romantic preferences, particularly in terms of all dealings over pups. Unsurprisingly, the majority cared intensely about all things dog-related.

In addition to the above data points, WagWalking also found that 3 in 10 dog parents have used their dog to attract a potential partner, 60 percent have been flirted with while walking their dog, and a whopping 84 percent of dog owners were successful when using Fido as the means to fetch themselves a romantic interest.

While not surprised, I will have to admit this at least warrants a visit to Netflix to see when Must Love Dogs is streaming next.
