This fantasy comes to life at an animal shelter called Potcake Place, located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. They specialize in finding homes for stray mixed-breed puppies known as potcakes that are found throughout the Caribbean.
In order to place these pups in loving homes, they need to socialize them and help them learn how to do simple tasks such as walking on a leash. That’s where you come in. They rely on the help of volunteers visiting the island to spend a day with the puppies and help prepare them for their new home.
Potcake Place lets you borrow a leash, water bottle, bowl, toys, treats, and, of course, an adorable puppy that you can hang out with on the beach. They usually take care of about 50 dogs at a time, and they could all use some good old TLC.
