Thinking about storming Area 51 and freeing the aliens? This Oklahoma shelter is trying to divert the raid to their overcrowded kennels for their “Storm the Shelter” event. All adoption fees were waived to alleviate critical crowding, and, well, the photo shoot promoting the event was pretty darn cute.
They dressed up the animals in little tinfoil hats making sure they were Area-51 ready. While everyone at the shelter was in love with the photos, they had no idea how quickly they would spread throughout the internet.

“Come storm our shelter,” they wrote in a Facebook post that’s now been shared over 12,000 times, “We have great animals ready to protect you from the Area 51 aliens. Adoption isn’t that far out of this world! #stormtheshelter”

That weekend they had 56 adoptions and an unprecedented amount of interest from all over the country. All the pets in the shoot have been adopted except for Lady, but with a face like that, we’re sure she’ll be adopted soon!
