feYou’ve probably seen it in your newsfeed: a tiny newborn wrapped in a blanket with a bow or a flower on his or her miniature head. These newborn photoshoots are extremely popular with new parents and they’re popping up all over social media.
One photographer wanted to put a new spin on this trend by using a new subject. Instead of a baby, she swapped in a kitten and the results were amazing.
And now for something completely different… My daughter got a kitten last week, and while she's a little older than most newborns I photograph (She's 9 weeks), she was definitely the smallest!
Photographer Kitty Schaub took her name literally when she photographed her daughter’s new kitten, Luna. She shared the photos on the Facebook page of her photography business, and everyone obviously went crazy.
I mean, c’mon. How can you resist that adorable little face? The stare of this bundled kitten with a lace headband could melt even the coldest of hearts.
This feline looks even better in floral. That teeny tiny flower is the perfect accessory.
"That's it, Dinah. If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense."
No newborn photoshoot is complete without a “mommy and me” shot, so naturally, they set up this one of the photographer’s daughter and her new pet.
These photos were so popular on Facebook that the photographer decided to create an entire calendar full of the best images. She’s selling it on her website and all the proceeds are going towards a local animal rescue called Save A Stray.
Adorable photos that go towards a good cause? Sign me up. Here’s to hoping that Kitty Lee Photography branches out to photographing other baby animals too. I’d take a whole book full of puppies in bows any day.
