Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen a lot of Meghan Markle in the news recently. The actress, model, and humanitarian recently got engaged to Prince Harry and is due to join the Royal Family next Spring. She’s talented, funny, beautiful, and to top it all off, she’s a dog lover.
Markle often posts pictures of her two dogs on Instagram. She has a Labrador-Shepherd mix named Bogart and a Beagle named Guy, and they’re both ridiculously adorable. Plus, both pups are rescues and Markle herself is an avid supporter of dog adoption.
She shares sweet snaps of Bogart and Guy snuggling up together, just like any loving dog mom. Plus, she always includes #adoptdontshop, which further shows her commitment to rescue dogs over puppy mill puppies.
Markle’s canine companions probably don’t care that their fur mama is joining the Royal Family. They’re just happy little pups with their heads out the window and not a care in the world.
Prince Harry might have put a ring on it, but it looks like Bogart and Guy will always be her first loves. One look at these cute faces and it’s easy to see why Markle will always be loyal to her lil guys.
In addition to her loving her own dogs, it seems that Markle gets along well with the Queen’s Corgis, too. In a recent interview, the Prince and Markle joked about her easy introduction to the royal dogs.
“The Corgis took to you straight away,” teased Harry. “I’ve spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one walks in, absolutely nothing.”
While adjusting to life in the Royal Family might take some time, I’m sure getting in with the Corgis early will help ease her transition. Congratulations are certainly in order for the newly engaged couple. We can’t wait to see if Bogart and Guy will make cameo appearances at the wedding.
