This past weekend, disaster struck again when Hurricane Irma roared through Florida. As the weather got worse, people took shelter, but unfortunately, some pets were left behind or lost. These pets are not just animals, they are family to many people, and we urge everyone to assist with the rescue efforts.

Best Friends Animal Society has started a donation page on their website for the pets affected by Irma. The website also offers links on how to get involved with reuniting lost pets with their owners, collecting supplies, and gathering volunteers to continue the rescue efforts. First Coast No More Homeless Pets
Due to the damage suffered at their Norwood Avenue Clinic, First Coast No More Homeless Pets is assisting injured and ill pets at the Cassat Regional Veterinary Hospital. Any donation is appreciated and can be contributed on their website.
Atlanta Humane Society has already taken in more than 300 animals and does not plan to stop their rescue efforts. They are in need of volunteers, foster parents, and appreciate any monetary donations. Please visit their page for more details on how you can get involved.
In order to place all focus on rescuing the lost and abandoned dogs of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey, Pawsitivity has suspended all regular fundraising efforts. At this time their focus in on assisting the immediate rescue of dogs in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
