IKEA For Pets Is Officially Here

There is a magical place where all your home decor and furniture dreams come true. A place where everything is fairly priced, has a fun name, and looks amazing. What is this magical land? IKEA. And now it’s about to get even better with a new collection for our furry friends.

This collection, called LURVIG, is cleverly named for the Swedish word for “hairy.” It’s designed specifically for dog and cat owners and features dozens of new items to bring your pet accessory game to the next level. Prices range from $1-55, so it’s the perfect way to spruce things up without breaking the bank.

To launch all these new products, IKEA turned to the ones who will appreciate them the most: pets. But they didn’t just choose any pets. They partnered with some serious stars as their Ambassadogs and Advocats.

Dougie the Shih Tzu shows off his love for his new LURVIG bed. It looks perfectly pup-sized and cozy with its machine-washable cushion. This piece also does double duty as a bed or a perch depending on which way you flip it.

Hamilton the Hipster Cat gets a bed that’s just as stylish as his little mustache. Like the dog bed, this cat bed can be used in a few different ways. You can keep it on the legs, hang it on the wall, or put it inside your IKEA KALLAX shelf unit. Whatever way you use it, it’s a pretty cozy and stylish place for your feline to take a much-needed cat nap.

Geordi La Corgi loafs around on this special little pup sofa. At $50, it’s one of the pricier items in the collection, but it’s definitely one of the cutest. It looks super comfy, plus it even folds out for maximum snoozle space.

Pudge the Cat shows us how versatile these pieces can really be. The LURVIG cat house is a snug space for the pet, and a great end table for the pet parent. IKEA really killed it with these double duty pieces.

In addition to the fun furniture pieces, the collection also features little accessories. While these pieces don’t look super exciting, they are just simple, sleek essentials that every pet owner needs. There’s a variety of food bowls, leashes, toys, and waste bags that could fit in with any style.

One product that’s definitely unique is this little identification tube. Sometimes those little engraved tags don’t quite have enough space. For an interesting way to keep all your contact information on your pet at all times, write it all down and roll it up inside this cute little tube. Plus, it’ll only set you back a buck.

As exciting as this new collection is, there are a few restrictions. It’s only available in certain stores and you can’t get it online. Also note that pets are not allowed in IKEA stores unless they are certified service pets.

But despite these limitations, there’s no doubt that this pet collection is gonna be big. IKEA knows how to design products that are simple and stylish and they’ve done the same for our fur babies.
