Healthy Snacks For Pup

Your dog often deserves a reward for being such a perfect little pup. But do you really know what’s in those store-bought treats? Instead of feeding them something from the store, why not prepare some yummy snacks of your own? Here are 4 alternatives to common doggy delicacies.

Instead of training treats…

Try blueberries. They don’t have any mystery chemicals, and they’re full of vitamins and minerals that your pup needs. They’re low in calories but high in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants.

Instead of chewy sticks…

Try dried sweet potato. If you slice a sweet potato into thin strips and bake it on low heat for 4-5 hours, it turns into veggie jerky that your canine will love to chew on.

Instead of teeth cleaning chews…

Try coconut oil. It can help bad breath and digestion because it’s high in good fat. It can also help keep your friend’s fur nice and shiny. Just don’t feed your dog more than a tablespoon a day.

Instead of dried biscuits…

Try making your own from peanut butter, milk, egg, flour, and oats. Mix all these ingredients in a food processor to form dough, roll into balls, and bake. For the recipe, check out the full video below:
