The Sims computer game has allowed people to build their own virtual lives since 2000. For any loving pet owner, it’s been pretty frustrating that the game hasn’t allowed you to add your own customizable furry friend to this digital life. Until now.
The game’s publisher Electronic Arts recently confirmed that the Sims 4 will include a dogs and cats expansion pack. This pack will allow users to choose the age, breed, and personality traits of their pet. They can even mix breeds together and create custom coats so players can create their very own dream pet.
Based on the trailer, it looks like this game gets pretty in-depth when it comes to your pet’s life. You can dress it up, know its thoughts, and have it interact with other pets. Sadly, it looks like it even includes the unfortunate event of your beloved friend passing over the rainbow bridge.
Whether you have one in real life or not, the Sims 4 seems like the closest thing you can find to actually owning your very own pet.
