The best part about coming home after a long day of work is your loyal canine companion coming to the door to greet you. They’re always so genuinely happy to see you and never fail to make your day. Dogs don’t care if you work at the mall or if you are a movie star. They’re just happy to see their best friend.
So when Chris Evans finally came home to his dog Dodger after 10 weeks on set, you can imagine that their reunion was even more joyful than normal. He posted a video on Twitter and it’s the cutest thing you’ll see all day.

All the face licking. All the tail wagging. It’s clear that this little guy was anxiously awaiting the return of his human. Dodger and Chris met while Chris was filming his movie Gifted, and the connection was instant.
“I snagged him and he’s such a good dog … He acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy,” he told TODAY. “He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love.”
Forget love stories between bad boys and the girl next door. I’m here for the love stories between owner and dog. If they can survive a 10-week long distance relationship, they can survive anything. Here’s to more great reunions like Dodger and Chris.
