Celebrate National Dog Day With A Gorgeous Necklace

If you’ve ever wish you could bring you pet with you absolutely everywhere, here’s your answer: Carrie Cramer Fine Jewelry. The Los Angeles-based stylist and fine jewelry designer has been creating gorgeous little works of art in the shape of your furry loved one since 2015…all inspired by her schnauzer, Atticus. Pieces range from pendants to bracelets, from sterling silver to super-chic all-over pave.

And she has a brand-new capsule collection just in time for National Dog Day (8/26): a collaboration with NYC vet extraordinaire Lisa LippmanCCFJ x DR. LISA features Cramer’s six best-sellers in a cut-out silhouette, centered on a round charm with a sparkling diamond accent.

Cramer gave us a little behind-the-scenes info the process:

How are the pendants made?
My first step is coming up with a rough design, then sending to my graphic designer, she then perfects the silhouette on CAD. Then we send the design to my jeweler, who is located in downtown Los Angeles. He and I then work very closely discussing the different metals, diamonds, chains and getting the molds made. Once that is done, he can proceed with making a sample for approval!

How long do you typically work on a silhouette before you feel it’s ready?
I can usually do it within a day or two. Sometimes I need to sleep on a design to make sure it’s perfect.

Which is your best-seller?
The Frenchie! That has been my top seller.
